Getting from Athens International Airport (ATH) to the venues
Both venues sit directly on Metro Line 3 (Blue Line), which departs straight from the airport — no transfers needed.

By Metro (recommended)
The Blue Line (Line 3) runs directly from the airport into central Athens.
- Ticket: €9 one-way / €16 return (flat airport fare). Reduced €4.50 (under 18 / over 65). Buy at the ticket machines or booths at the airport station — cash and card accepted. Note: standard €1.20 city tickets are not valid for the airport section.
- Frequency: every ~30 minutes
- Hours: approx. 06:30 – 23:30 (last train just before midnight)
- Luggage: free
- To the War Museum of Athens
Stay on Line 3 (blue) and get off at Evangelismos (~40 min from the airport). The museum is a 3–5 minute walk from the station exit, across the street. No transfer needed.
- To the Propylaea (University of Athens, Panepistimiou 30)
Two easy options:
- Get off at Syntagma (~40 min), then walk ~7–8 minutes up Panepistimiou Avenue; or
- At Syntagma, change to Line 2 (Red Line) and ride one stop to Panepistimio — the Propylaea are right at the exit.
By Express Bus X95 (24-hour, budget option)
- Ticket: €5.50
- Route: Airport → Syntagma Square directly
- Time: ~60 minutes (longer in traffic)
- Runs 24 hours, useful for late-night arrivals when the metro isn't running.
From Syntagma, both venues are reachable: the Propylaea on foot (~8 min) and the War Museum either one metro stop east (Line 3 to Evangelismos) or a ~15-minute walk along Vasilissis Sofias Avenue.
By Taxi
- Fixed fare: ~€40 (day) / ~€55 (00:00–05:00) from the airport to central Athens
- Time: ~40–50 min (up to 60–80 min in rush hour)
- Just show the driver the address: War Museum — «Πολεμικό Μουσείο, Ριζάρη 2» or Propylaea — «Πανεπιστήμιο, Πανεπιστημίου 30»
Tip: Both venues are within a short walk of each other in the city center (~15 min on foot, or one metro stop between Syntagma/Panepistimio and Evangelismos), so you can combine them easily.

The venues are located at Rizari 2–4, Athens, adjacent to the National Gallery and the Evangelismos area, in the city center of Athens.
The conference takes place at the War Museum from October 12th to 14th.
The most convenient way to reach the location is by Athens Metro: take Line 3 (Blue Line) to Evangelismos station, which is directly across from the museum — approximately a 2–3 minute walk from the station exit.
The area is also served by multiple bus and trolleybus lines stopping along Vasilissis Sofias Avenue, near the Evangelismos and Hilton stops.

The venue is located at Panepistimiou 30, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), in the city center of Athens.
The conference takes place at the UoA Main Building / Propylaea only on October 15th.
The most convenient way to reach the location is by Athens Metro. From there, the venue is approximately a 5–7 minute walk along Panepistimiou Street.
The area is also served by multiple bus and trolleybus lines stopping at or near Syntagma Square and along Panepistimiou Street.
